The Earl of Tennessee

Earl is a mysterious man who lives next to Esperanza. No one knows much about him.
The kids only see him when he goes and comes back from work. Rumor has it that he has a wife. The kids and Esperanza’s mom disagree on how see looks. like books that have been left out in the rain moldy and damp smell like the smell that comes out of his appartment

Sire

Sire is another person that lives in Mango Street. He is the typical guy your parents say not to talk to. He has a girl friend, who looks like “those ones who go into the ally”. Sire is a “punk”. everything is waiting to explode like Christmas comming of age theme. She wants to know how it feels to kiss and have a boy friend.
