Celia had always been by matt’s side. She had risked her life for Matt’s. Matt was locked up like an animal and was treated less than an animal. There was no way Matt could of survive in the condition he was in but he did and Matt survived by keeping memories of Celia and replying them back in his mind and how she was always there for him also that did what was best for him. If he hadn’t thought of celia and how she has raise matt over the years. I believe that matt would of died along time ago this is why friendship is important.
Tam lin is a dear friend to matt in away that he’s like his father. A quote from the book shows how tam lin affected matt’s life. “But Tam Lin had called Matt a human and expected much more from him...For the first time he saw a huge difference between the way the bodyguard treated him and how everyone else did. Tam Lin talked about courage and loyalty. He let Matt do dangerous things on their expeditions and go off by himself to explore. He treated Matt as an equal.” This is very important because tam lin is one of the first people that sees matt for who he truly is. This bostes matts confidence and helps matt’s future hardships because matt has meriores to remynice on like he did with celia when he was trap in hell. and Matt appreciates this because Matt knows that tam lin is breaking the rules for him and risking matt to be injured and therefore El patron couldn’t take matt organs for his own
