Shasta goes on a variety of adventures after running away from home with a Talking Horse named Bree. He has many struggles he overcame, but in my opinion, the largest one for Shasta was his inability to believe in himself.

He began loudly proclaiming to the (the non talking kind) horse he was riding all of the the bad things that had happened to him and why he was incredibly unlucky.
A Voice spoke to him out of the thick fog that had formed around Shasta, and explained that there was a Lion who had watched him all his life. All of the misfortunes that had happened to Shasta were for a greater good. Shasta’s message had saved the north from horrible tragedy from the surprise attack.
Shasta fell to the Lion’s feet. He felt foolish and overwhelmed, but finally at peace. He then wandered into Narnia, wondering what to do next.
Shasta was found by the Prince of Archenland. The Prince suggested that the both of them sneak into battle. Shasta agrees, but it was mostly a confusing, terrifying experience for him.
Afterwards, Shasta finds out the secret of his life. He was the King’s eldest son, the Prince’s twin, who was kidnapped as a baby. He was next in line for the Archenland throne. He did not feel worthy of this, but he was determined to live up to the standard.
He DID do a worthy job as king later in life. He ended up marrying Aravis, who came to live at his palace. They became a great King and Queen and lived happily ever
