I think that some homeless people are hopeless - drunks, druggies, and people who have completely given up on any quality of life and stay homeless. But there are others who just had a bad turn in life—and are desperately trying to get back to a normal life. I think that homeless communities would be a good idea—especially ones that work to enforce abstaining from alcohol and put people on the right path. Survival is much easier if you have people on your side, and misery loves company. The goal of these communities, of course, would only be a short term stay.
