Throughout my life, the Holy Spirit has …show more content…
It is not a mistake I am here. I would have never imagined being here, but I am thankful. Not only am I getting an experience playing sports, but more importantly, a biblically-integrated education that has greatly improved my life to what it is today. The Holy Spirit is my guide and helper, and is using me to be a bridge between Christianity and athletes. I can be a witness to people from different schools that God is real and that it is life-changing to have a relationship with Him. This thought is backed up by 1 John 4:4, which says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (KJV). This verse is the fuel that keeps me motivated that God is using me, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to do His work and grow while here at Grace University and throughout my life.

They are serving, giving, and faith. The Holy Spirit is capable of teaching the things of God and was sent to be a part of blessing us with spiritual gifts. “Spiritual gifts are any abilities that is empowered by the Holy Spirit and used in any ministry of the church” (Grudem 396). Spiritual gifts are given to equip the church to carry out its ministry until Christ returns (Grudem 397). It is important to know that gifts may vary in strength and development in different individuals (Grudem 399). A good verse that speaks about spiritual gifts is 1 Peter 4:10-11; it states, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen”
