It mixed into my values and beliefs, but in the end, it just didn't make the cut. After the Communists left Yugoslavia, war and terror came to her country. Over two hundred thousand Muslims slaughtered and over one million displaced. It forced her to reevaluate her ideas about her religion and tolerance. She now believes that she is still a Muslim, but refuses to be defined by region. I do not agree with her values of being a Muslim, but not being defined by religion. I am not afraid to tell people that I am a Catholic. I say it with honor and courage, not with awkwardness or mortification. For me it is common sense and I understand that some people are not proud of their religion, but they should not be ashamed to say “I am
