The Holocaust: Mass Genocide Happen Against Unfit People

The Holocaust officially started on January 30, 1933.(Key Dates, Aug 2015) The Holocaust was the time period in which a mass genocide occurred against “unfit” people. During the duration of the Holocaust over 6 million Jews and 11 million people in all were brutally murdered. It was estimated that about 1.5 million people were taken in as prisoners at that time. (Key Dates, Aug 2015) These prisoners were treated ruthlessly, as they were forced into manual labor with severe conditions, deprived of food and were quarantined in unsanitary conditions. In result of being treated like ruthlessly, the number of lives slowly decreased.
When the prisoners arrived at the camps they were immediately separated from their families and grouped accordingly;
