The conditions many victims faced during the Holocaust were unspeakable. Among one of these victims stands Eliezer Wiesel, now known as Elie Wiesel, author of Night and winner of The Nobel Peace Prize. The torture, the starvation, the endless grief that Wiesel had to go through is saddening, yet says so much about his character. Throughout this novel his intelligence, determination, and caring shows through his actions and lets him survive.
