For example, all Nazi camps were built to kill. Their construction was for killing more effectively (“Nazi camps,” par. 1). The camps were part of Hitler’s “Final Solution,” to eliminate the Jewish population. Both labor camps and death camps did this extremely effectively. Also, Auschwitz was a large camp with labor and death sub-camps (Deem 15). Auschwitz was originally built for killing; however, it did have labor camps. The labor camps would sometimes seem to be just as fatal as the death camp. Ultimately, Jews were the main target for these camps; they were the primary work force (“Forced Labor” 110). Hitler blamed the Jews for all of Germany’s problems; therefore, all of Germany’s citizens believed him. He had convinced everyone that the Jews deserved what they were getting. The Jews were in both death camps and labor camps. The similarities between death camps and labor camps are numerous gruesome and terrible things.
