Frank and Mr. Van Daan. At the beginning of their hiding, when the Franks and Van Daans first met, they were all alright with each other. Mr. Van Daan and Mrs. Frank kept their distance from each other not knowing much about each other. As time went on though with all the news coming in, everyone starts getting into everyone’s business. Mr. Van Daan and Mrs. Frank start to get on each others nerves and don’t like being around each other much anymore. This keeps going on until Mrs. Frank catches Mr. Van Daan stealing food from all of them and goes off on him, telling him to get out. “ We’re all of us hungry! I see the children getting thinner and thinner. Your own son Peter… I’ve heard him moan in his sleep, he’s so hungry.
