One of the part of a heroic journey is the departure, an example is in Moana how she has to leave her home island because her grandma has told her about the heart of tafiti and how Maui took it and she needs to go to find Maui and bring the heart of tafiti back to save their island, her dad did not want her to go because of he thinks the ocean is a very unsafe place due to his own memories from years ago, by leaving her island …show more content…
He had to also escape the elves kingdom, I feel without his magical ring it would of been way harder than it already was for him. Moana had to face the ocean and get used to how rough the water was and learn to deal with it and also had to deal with a crab to a Maui's hook and the coconut pirates also when they got near tafiti, Maui and Moana had to try to fight her and find a way to put the heart back without breaking Maui hook otherwise he wouldn't have any magical powers and struggle a lot without it …show more content…
In the film of Moana they showed a very little of the return unlike the hobbit. Moana had a quick ending at they saved their island and by putting the heart back and getting home. The details were very different, bilbo kinda put a refusing in his return with taking his time which is a part of the heroic journey return. As Moana just put the heart back and sailed home, also she didn’t have to face anything else on the way back to her island. The hobbit showed more of how he had to face goblins and wards, also when he hit his head and blacked out and was safe by the ring that made him invisible. Bilbo had to bring the treasure back and all Moana did is put the heart of tafiti back and her island was fine again. When Bilbo got home he had found out everyone thought he was dead and saw all his stuff getting auctioned off, with the treasure he bought what he could back. He even got more recognisable for the things he has done on his journey well being away from his hobbit
