In the book The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien we have been introduced to a character named Bilbo. Bilbo was like any other Hobbit he was wimpy and perfect. Example of being perfect on pg 15 a poem appears and towards the end it said cracked plates is what Bilbo baggins hates. The poem also goes through more examples of what Bilbo doesn’t like when the dwarfs left his house a mess for him to clean up.
On pg 123 it shows how he is wimpy because he wakes up wanting to be at home for brushing his teeth and showering this is showing that he doesn’t want to be heard. He also said he didn’t like how he didn’t have any tea, toast, bacon for breakfast. Instead, he got cold mutton and rabbit which his something that he would never eat for breakfast. Chap 4 In the book The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. We have came across different many types of themes. For example some themes are believe in each other this is on of the many ones that we are faced with. Another type of theme is that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. These themes are what drove the force of the story.
The reason I think the first theme is because the dwarfs were there for Bilbo. The dwarfs though also were hated by Bilibo. Before 2 the dwarfs provide light for him in the caves and before that they built him a bed. “Thank you very much for this beautiful bed said Bilbo Pg 209.They also made him go on the adventure that he didn’t want to go on. If he didn’t go he would release his power and help Gandalf beat smog. These dwarfs may have been on is nerves for most of the story but when Bilbo wanted something the dwarfs were the main reason he got more things …show more content…
The setting of certain places also can come with many different rules. They adventure through many different world,many different people and many different towns. The setting would be very different in today's world. If are world were like this there was many different types of people.
One of the places that takes places is the wilderness. In that part they see many different landmarks that they describe very well. Example There is the mirkwood pg 156,The lonely mountain 257 pg . These things bring us closer with the book and the setting. These made us very suspicious of how other places will look during the course of the time. The many different places would have us wonder what will Bilbo learn in the next time or how he would change in that town/world. Bilbo for example went into the Wilderness/ Mirkwood and found the ring that gave him powers and if he wouldn’t see gandalf talking to him.
Other times Gandalf has magic in his world showing that he has many different worlds that he has been in to get that. Gandalf also has been teaching Bilbo the different worlds and his world. The setting in that was a very forest area and in there they have to follow rules that Gandalf. Bilbo also really liked that place where he found his true power. The realm with smog was a very dark place and dirty rules that each of the citizen had to follow to not get a bad
