In the movie we not only see the a craziness of the story through the dialogue between the characters but also through the visual effects of the movies. During the movie when the vogues destroyed Earth I was waiting for this dramatic moment of explosions, fire, and chaos but none of that happened; it was just gone with a blink of an eye, turned to dust. Not only that but also the camera angle backing away showing the magnification go the Vogon ship next to the Earth it really takes into essences of the story and its predicaments and situations that occur from nothing rational. Another scene in the movie that really kept the true identify of the book of absurdity although it didn’t actually happen in the book was when Humma Kavula makes ideal with Zaphod Beeblebrox in exchange for the coordinates to Magrathea, Zaphod had to bring back a special weapon from the planet.
