Before Microsoft Bill and Allen originally started a company called "Traf-O-Data," which featured an automatic way to read and organize data pulled from traffic tapes. The company was a complete failure, and the product didn 't work how they intended it to work, although this first failure did have Bill contemplating whether he should be a lawyer like his father it didn’t stop them from going onto better things. After opportunities started knocking at his door he dropped out of Harvard. While working towards success Bill Gates was always stressed and didn’t have time for sleep, working 16 hours in a day for 5 years. After he reached success and his life goals were almost completed he still encountered challenges like his mother dying to breast cancer a few months after his marriage but was able to move past that tragedy and start his own family shortly
