In the book The Hidden Life of Dogs by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, I have discovered that humans aren’t the only species that can have feelings towards another human. Dogs can too. They can have feelings towards each other. “Both he and Maria knew something was terribly wrong when his owners came for him the last time, so that Maria struggled to follow him out the door. When she was prevented, she rushed to the windowseat and, with her back to the room, watched Misha being forced into a car. She stayed in the window for weeks thereafter, sitting backward on the seat with her face to the window and her tail to the room, watching and waiting for Misha. At last she must of realized he wasn’t going to come.” (Thomas 72). This quote shows perfectly
