The eleventh stage of the hero’s journey is resurrection. The resurrection is the hero faces a final test. In the The Wizard of Oz, the hero didn’t have to face a final test before returning back home. The final phase of the journey back home, the hero found out how to go back and went directly to the ordinary world. Characters who have to go through this stage are going to be determined to overcome the final test because all they want from the beginning is to go back to their ordinary world. It all depends on what direction their journey’s path is going in.
