In the novel The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins, Gale Hawthorne possesses a caring trait. Gale is considered to be caring because he is always concerned about his loved ones no matter how difficult the situation might be. An example of the trait he possesses is when he takes care of his family after his father died in the mine explosion. Gale is helping his family by entering his name more times in the reaping in order to obtain tessera. Gale knows the more time his name is in the reaping, the more chances he has to get chosen for the Games. The reason he wants to help his family is because he is the oldest in the family and loves them. Another way Gale demonstrates his hero trait is towards Katniss family. He cares so much about Katniss,
