Jason possesses many heroic characteristics in which he uses to defeat King Pelias and lead the Argonauts towards victory. When Jason begins to build his team of Argonauts, he pursues men who are fearless and willing to face danger. Jason is merely a good person with a kind heart who is willing to risk his life for his mother’s. I feel as though this is a task any loving child would do for their own mother. Jason is no hero, he is human. A human who exhibits normal human characteristics such as doubt, love, and endurance. Jason helps the older woman across the river not because he is a hero, but because he is a good person.
