The hero of Odysseus is a very strong, knowledgeable, smart, protecting captain of a crew that would give life over limb for their beloved captain. Odysseus runs his team more like a family and he prepares for the worst like how he wants to keep them safe from the mystical sirens and puts wax in their ears so they can't hear their enchanting, hypnotic songs. Odysseus has this decade long journey through all this tough and unbearable waters to get to his home. He pushes his way through the deadly and dangerous sirens he also put wax in his men's ears and ties himself to the mast of the immense ship to keep from getting drawn into the seductive songs. It proves that Odysseus is a great and heroically brave man and the perfect one to talk hold of the ship. Therefore he has such a good attitude and behavior he plays a key role in the invigorating story.
