Why should the United States of America adopt a Universal Health Care System? With the rising number of uninsured Americans today, seeking medical assistance becomes a burden due to the high cost of service. There are many individuals living in pain, not only physically, but emotionally as well, because of the fear of going to the doctor and being faced with a large bill they can 't afford. In order to minimize or eliminate the number of uninsured individuals, high costs of health care, and low quality of care in America, United States should consider a universal health care plan that is affordable and available to everyone, regardless of income or employment status; giving Americans the option to select a doctor and hospital of their choice…

In the United States, Healthcare Reform has been an all-inclusive debate between the two major political parties. One side of this argument, the Democratic side, argues for the Affordable Care Act, which aims to lower overall healthcare costs, but introduces new taxes on the upper and middle classes, adds new complications on filing for taxes, and everyone is required to be covered (including those who are currently ill or have pre-existing conditions who have never paid for healthcare), therefore adding to the overall cost of healthcare and raising deductibles for the already insured portion of our nation. The other side of the spectrum, the Republican Party, fights for The Healthcare Reform Act. This act argues for reform of the laws that…

Introduction The passage of the Affordable Care Act changed the delivery of health care in the United States. However, since the passage of the Affordable Care Act, multiple lawsuits against the federal government have been filed. On June 25th 2015, the Supreme Court ruled on the Affordable Care Act in a 6-3 decision stating, “Congressed passed the Affordable Care Act to improve health insurance markets, not destroy them. If at all possible, we must interpret the Act in a way that is consistent with the former” (CNN, 2015, para. 5).…

Even some Doctors or Politicians say that they are not racist they may be unconsciously racist; being racist without knowing they are. African Americans have been separate and unequal since they were brought over from Africa and it has changed, but there is still racism whether most people know the are or not. “In the 2010s, physician surveys showed that some pediatricians’ racial bias prevented them from prescribing pain medication for African American children following surgery.”…

Individuals that go long periods of time without regular check-ups are at risk for medical conditions that require serious extensive medical treatment. The government should do some reform to provide insurance to everybody. The all- payer system should be adopted by the government. This system diminishes the cost of insurance and people could be able to afford it and also improve their health.3 For example, in Europeans countries they use this system and it functions correctly and people receive all the care they need. Also people think that the more they are uninsured, the more it is costly, because when they are sick they cannot afford the hospital price, and they take the over the counter drugs, and when their disease get worse, they need more serious care, and this cost more to the…
