The first way that abortion brings harm to an innocent person is in the case of the mother. According to the Scandinavian Journal of Public Health, abortion can cause depression. Depression and anxiety can be evident even up to five years. A study also shows that women who aborted, were 154% more likely to commit suicide than women who followed through with the pregnancy. When a woman decides to get an abortion she doesn’t think about how it will affect her later on. Days, weeks or even months later that choice that the mother decided to make can start to affect her.
