The Hammurabi code was written in 1750 B.C. by King Hammurabi, like stated in the title it is a code or in other words a set of rule or laws inscribed on a seven-foot basalt stele. It has a collection of 282 laws/standards that were nitpicked by the King himself. These rules/standards provide insight into the lives of ancient Mesopotamians demonstrating their values, society, and world.
