HCZ has refined its techniques in Central Harlem, one of the most destressed communities in NEW York City. The HCZ project began in an area of twenty-four blocks and serving only 3,600 children and adults. Now they have expanded ninety-seven blocks and serve 7,427 children, ages 0-17 (“Harlem Children’s Zone,” 2017). They continue to make plans and modification to increase these numbers over the years.
