In many courses, I have learned about Bronfenbrenner’s Bioecological model of development. This model of development is framed upon how biology and environment interact to produce development within a person (Sigelman & Rider, 2015). This model has four main environmental systems that influence the developing person and it includes, a microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem and macrosystem (Sigelman & Rider, 2015). The microsystem includes the immediate physical and social environment were a person has face-to-face interactions, such as parents, peers, or church members (Sigelman & Rider, 2015). The mesosystem consists of interrelationships between two or more microsystem, for example parents and school or peer and church (Sigelman & Rider, 2015). The exosystem consists of linages involving social setting that a person does not directly interact with (Sigelman & Rider, 2015).
