It is important for me to understand why things are the way they are. I like to research the reasoning and studies that are behind different theories and facts. Albert Einstein wrote, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” (Einstein, 1955). Another personal strength I possess is the discipline to plan and strategize time allocations for learning. This strength comes from valuing educational resources available at this time in my life that were not around when I completed my first Bachelor of Science degree in 1989. I will evaluate what I have accomplished and look for places where I can improve. I will do this after allowing sleeping time and space between work completion and review sessions. Then I will focus and enact changes for purposeful growth on future projects. A second strategy I will use for new personal growth will be to make variety a part of my system of learning. Sometimes I will only spend small incremental times for studying and work. In other sessions, I will dedicate larger sections of time to engage in understanding and education. My third strategy for personal growth will be to concentrate on fewer items rather than multi-tasking. I will incorporate this into my growth by being more engaged in the task at hand and remove other distractions. It is my contention that if I take more pride in achievements, I will find more room for creativity. The fourth strategy for my personal growth will be to become more engrossed in what I am doing. This takes paying closer attention to ensuring that I have the time to complete assignments with quality rather than rushing through my work. The results pay off with fewer grammar issues, a better format, and correct spelling. The fifth strategy that I will employ for personal growth will be to involve and employ more risk taking.
