Greek Creation Story Vs Genesis

Dispersed all throughout the world, are different perspectives on how we came to be, these are known as creation stories. Two of the many, would be the Christian creation story, Genesis, and the Greek creation story. Between Greek and Genesis, they share traits that are akin, as well as traits that differ from each other. The three elements within the two stories are the settings, characteristics, and the religious beliefs or cultural values. Within the stories, there is a different perspective of setting before the beginning of time, and after, however, there are several similarities. In the Greek creation story, there was empty darkness, except a bird Nyx, and the egg in which she laid. This creation story did not give specific landscape details, on the contrary, it did report that the egg cracked becoming heaven and earth, and in the end, Earth was filled with humans, animals, etc. In the Genesis story, there is only God himself in the beginning. God created the heavens and the Earth, as well as a paradise like environment, known as the Garden of Eden which was a beautiful place set with everything the first humans would need. With these details, you can see that the Greek and Genesis story are similar in the way of how in the beginning; there was nothing except a being. Greek and Genesis are two of the thousands and thousands of reported creation stories. They both explain how earth came to be, as well as the life on it, there being a supreme being that created it, and a very important lesson to learn as well as abide by. The differences are what makes us unique and adds a bit of flavor to this harsh world. All we can do now is to follow our best instincts, and think before we act on those instincts because you never know what the consequences of our actions will
