The Greatest Story Ever Told

Decent Essays
The movie, The Greatest Story Ever Told, shows a great story, but is poorly made and leaves out some important parts. If you didn’t already know the story of Jesus you would get lost a lot in the movie. I love the story of Jesus, but this movie skips important parts and doesn't really address what is happening. This movie doesn't show any of the miracles of Jesus except for one, there are multiple long pauses where we just look at someone's face, not that many facial expressions, and it skips the important part where Jesus gets lost in the temple. It also has okay cinematography, only shows peter denying Jesus twice instead of three times, and makes Judas die by falling into the fire instead of him hanging himself. Have you ever stopped caring so much that whatever happens, happens? I remember the time I had gotten in trouble by my mom because I had walked home from school. It was a gloomy day from it being so cloudy and cold. I was talked into walking home during school by friends whom, at the time didn't care about school as much as I did, cared nothing of school. I didn’t like it, but then again I started not to care either.…

The second production company, Pure Flix, though they were founded around the same time as Sherwood Pictures, Pure Flix has been a part of a significantly greater Christian productions. Some of their most notable work include Jerusalem Countdown (2011), The Book of Daniel (2013), The Case for Christ (2017), and the God’s Not Dead series (2014-). One of the prominent figures in the company is Harold Cronk, Cronk has directed a number of films for the company. The studio is also responsible for the newest telling of the Samson story, and they are currently in post production on a more faith inspired version of Unbroken, most recently adapted for the screen by Angelina Jolie. Their most popular film by far is God’s Not Dead, which reinvigorated the Christian film movement, however when you look at ratings, something still does not make sense.…

    A. What reasons do your authors give to explain the historical inaccuracies in the films? All historical movies are of peoples interpretations of the events, or if it was written from someone who were there at the time of the event it's still based off of what they seen or remember. Things can get lost in interpretation but director's I feel do try to stick to the best of there knowledge while maintaining a film that would be popular in ratings. Like James Cameron who written, directed, co-produced, and co-edited the film in 1997 of The historical event the Titanic which sunk in 1912. The movie was a great film with some inaccuracies but a nice story line to follow along with two fictional characters Jack Dawson and Rose Dewitt Bukater.…

The Divine Plan The Passion of the Christ, a Hollywood portrayal of the judgement and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, brings to life the Gospel’s narration of the most important day of mankind. This paper will demonstrate that although the movie’s depiction slanted towards a bias of the Jewish people being against Jesus, the Sanhedrin were not representatives of the sediment of the Jews. It will also show that Pontius Pilate, a man of consciousness, was ultimately used as a pawn by God to carry out the inevitable death of Jesus. Finally, this paper will demonstrate that the death of Jesus was not a result of the Sanhedrin or Pontius Pilot, but rather the inevitable result of the sins of man.…

    Three Human Stories

I believe that the quote, “There are only two or three human stories, and they go on repeating themselves as fiercely as if they never happened before,” is true and it makes sense. I think that it is true because most stories have a similar story line and it is just told with different characters and plots. For example, in, “Buffalo Dusk,” the problem is that Buffaloes are dying and in, “Below,” the problem is that the worlds are getting destroyed. In both of those stories, the problem is closely related and I believe most stories are like that. Another example is in, “all ignorance toboggans into know,” the cycle is going up hill and good things happening, then going downhill and having problems, and in, ”On the Pulse of Morning,” the cycle…

The language choice of the movie more funny then serious. This is a movie that make the audience laugh and have a great time. They also have a lot of music in this movie which makes the movie even more interesting. Most of this music was really good too. Hercules movie is not an acceptable adaptation to the myth. The movie is not accurate because it adds or does not include important events in the Hercules story. Many characters that were not in history show up in the Hercules movie. Some of Hercules’ most heroic deeds were not included in the movie. Even though Hercules was made for little kids and events had to be filtered out, Hercules is not an accurate adaption to the myth because it adds and switches characters and is missing key elements in Hercules' story.…

My highlight of the week is the new album of Logic, The Incredible True Story. It was a big hit yesterday waiting for almost for 2 weeks. Another highlight was that last week my baby brother came out of the hospital since he was born as a premature baby. The low-light was that I had low internet, I had used up all the data usage on my phone and last night the songs of Logic were hard to hear, the song would play for a few seconds and stop. My night was hard yesterday I just hope one of my friends could let me hear all the new 18 songs that Logic released.…

    Passion Of Christ Analysis

Throughout the years the “Passion of the Christ” movies have been used to tell the story about Christ’s death and resurrection. Then in 2004 Mel Gibson made his version of the movie and as I like to say brought it in to the 21st century with updated graphics, violence, and blood. The combination of images, faith, and history this film truly was like no other Passion of Christ movie ever done. The Passion of the Christ is a serious and deep piece of cinematography, it not just show us how much pain one man went through for us but it celebrates for the unbeliever the triumph of humanity over an absolute brutality and through this movie for all the believers of the Christian faith this movie has become a powerful reminder that we still need to…

    Story Of An Hour

In the opening of “The Story of an Hour?” by Kate Chopin, we are introduced with the death of Brently Mallard whose wife, who also has heart trouble, is about to hear the saddening news. On the other hand, in the concluding paragraph, the doctors conclude with the wife’s death from heart disease, “of joy that kills”. Therefore what is ironic is the fact that in the end the wife turned out to be dead and not the husband, Mr. Mallard, although throughout the story Chopin made it seem as if the husband was dead. The discrepancy in the story is that Chopin had said that the husband had died in a railroad disaster, which as we now know was false, while the wife’s death turned out to be indeed true. Moreover, in the introduction, we see also see…

An experience that changed my life was on May 19th, 2014, my brother’s death. It changed my life in a positive and negative way. You would think that death would devastate someone for the rest of their life, but my brother’s death actually changed my life. I’m not saying that his death didn’t have a negative effect on me, but it had more of a positive effect on me than anything. His death made me an introvert, think for myself, and see things differently.…
