The Greatest Leader I Ever Knew I believe that a leader is a person who inspires others without the awareness of inspiration. A great leader creates a following through the focused inward passion, targeting a desired end result, caring less about popularity and more about achieving unity through servant leadership. Most leaders that I have known personally, lead out of a selfish motivation, using subordinates as stepping stones or building blocks to gain their next promotion. I have narrowed down my selection of leaders in my life, that I have known personally and one stands out as the greatest leader I ever knew. This man was the first manager I within the company I still work for today, his name is Dennis. With past managers or sergeants in the army I felt like I was so inferior even to look at them, let alone do the things that they did. I was screamed at and degraded on a daily basis just based off from what rank I had. I never saw myself as that type of leader and I could not conform to such a society, to the point I turned down the opportunity to be …show more content…
Holding back nothing and feeling no shame describing my invisible leader who has taken the selfishness out of me and displaying Himself in everyone. If I can manage to walk with this leader for a prolonged period of time I would have fulfilled the meaning of existence as a human being. As far as servant leadership is concerned, the leader I have described as the greatest leader I have ever known cares nothing for Himself to the point of death just so that He could be with me. If we could obtain a fraction of that style of leadership instead of selfish motivation, I believe powerful things could be accomplished under the banner of unity, love and respect. It is far more difficult to steal or talk bad about a leader you love. Their passion becomes yours because you love them and production levels

Leadership is defined as being a leader of an organization or a group of individuals. To me a leader is someone who will give their all to accommodate someone in obligation of assistance. A leader doesn’t give up on hard task and pushes to be an example for their peers. I have demonstrated my leadership in and out of school by being a responsible, honest and hardworking individual, who expresses empathy to help those who didn’t think they could achieve a goal on their own. While in high school I have been in multiple extracurricular activities such as Drill Team, FBLA, FCCLA, Student Council, Class Treasurer, NHS and Yearbook.…

George Washington, a prime example of what one regards to be a great leader. Dependable, communicative, and charismatic are all words that surface when asked to describe George Washington. Being an introvert, if I had to be as communicative or charismatic as Mr. Washington, I would be terror-stricken, but that does not mean that I am not an awe-inspiring leader like him. Our first president may have been a heroic leader, however, there are many other remarkable leaders that do not fit within that definition. Rosa Parks, a seamstress that has influenced millions of individuals through her actions alone without being as communicative as Mr. Washington.…

The best type of leader is a person that encourages its employees to not only benefit themselves, but to strive to be the best type of leader for their community. Most people see being a leader as a person that has a strong sense of basic organization skills and can manage multiple people, but in my opinion that is a selfish act that only helps a small portion of people. To be a successful leader is simply defined as a person the run an organization or an office, but how is that a leader? A leader should be motivating and not solely where it is convenient for making money, hence I think that being a leader should be more influential to aspects of life that are bigger than ourselves.…

When I think of Claudius, the cliché “All is fair in love and war” comes to mind. Claudius, right or wrong, obviously thought of himself as a better leader than his brother and took drastic action to prove it. Claudius secretly murdered his brother, King Hamlet, and then married the dead king’s wife, Gertrude, consequently becoming the new king of Denmark. Though murder is not how I would approach the situation, I cannot say this sole act made Claudius a poor leader. Many great leaders have gained their positions through murder and war; furthermore, Claudius did seem to be acting in good faith on behalf of Denmark.…
