Rita O’Benson 5/10/16 Block: 4 In our age and time, with the many social and controversial issues that continue to plague Americans today, the hype on human rights amps up, and then dies down. Even the founding documents of our very nation 's promise and declare life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. However our society and its leaders are imperfect and have at times failed to deliver that promise, resulting in many of our citizens over time being stripped of those rights. Even in the modern age, there are laws in our government that violate these “natural rights”. One of those being the most ignored despite its criminal nature and intent, abortion. In Mother Teresa’s Nobel winning lecture she states “These are things that break peace, but I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion,
