The Day of Pentecost explains the very act of helpfulness (Act 2:44-47, NASB). The Scripture records “Those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.” In other words, God has entrusted his ministries to be empowered by the Holy Spirit, that spirit should dwell on the inside of his chosen people, (Jn. 14:26, NASB). As God’s chosen people, we must seek to invest in God’s people to ensure growth and involvement in the ministries. God sacrificed his only begotten son to share the burden of others (Isa.53:4-5, NASB). It is likewise that the same is bared for God’s ministry with others. In fact, a time of fellowship will enlighten one’s concerns about others affliction and transgression. To put in another way, freedom becomes prevalent and one does not have to feel abandoned, but relieved (Eccles. 4:10, NASB). Furthermore, one should be careful not to judge others shortcoming, but enhance the growth and involvement in relevant to ministries (Eph. 4:2, NASB).
