My Greatest Accomplishment

Improved Essays
Have you ever achieved a goal of yours that has made you feel overwhelmingly proud of yourself? I have accomplished that in my life by graduating high school and receiving my Diploma. I feel this has been my greatest accomplishment in life by far due to the fact that it made my mother proud, I accomplished my benchmarks, and it even gave me a great amount of opportunities after high school.
To begin, I believe that graduating high school is almost unattainable without the support of your loved ones who only want you to prosper and my mother did just that for 4 challenging years. Having her help I throughout my years as a high school student only came as a benefit to me due to the fact that I didn’t have to deal with it all alone. From having

Considering the fact that a student not only goes to school, but one also has to deal with life outside of the classroom. I dealt with life in school and outside of it as well, it can get extremely hectic when you have loads of homework to complete and attain a job afterschool. Overcoming such a task for about the second half of my high school career made me feel positive about myself. Graduating from high school gave me the confidence to handle any obstacle I have to face in life and conquer it. There were times when I had to sacrifice a couple of hours of sleep to have time to complete assignments from school. Such experience helped me become a stronger being and for that I am thankful for that. I realized a lot of things on my graduation day; it’s as if I had been blind the whole time that I was a high school student and was given my sight when I received my diploma. Recalling all of my involvements in high school my graduation day led me to believe that it all made me who I am today and it enlightened me greatly. After June 5th I felt I had grown in general as a person and it brought me bliss because it was exactly what I hoped to gain after my occupation as a high school

In the article, The Adverse Impact of Racial Microaggressions on College Students’ Self-Esteem the authors, Kevin L. Nadal, Yinglee Wong, Katie E. My most positive high school experience for me has to be when I was inducted into National Honor Society for my senior year. This was something that I has been striving to do since my freshman year after I received my first academic letter. But after our school decided to only allow seniors to be inducted, raised the GPA requirement, and reduced the amount of people that would be allowed to be inducted I wasn’t sure if my goal would still be attainable. But after three years of strenuous classes, constant volunteer service, and keeping my grades up I finally received an acceptance letter and was inducted into NHS where I am able to surround myself with others that have the same academic goals as…

Stop me from graduating and receiving my high school diploma, and so I started to take after school classes with my teachers to catch up, and substantial amount of studying at home.
