The Great Wall of China The Great Wall of China was built to protect themselves from invaders and as a symbol of strength for China and its people. The Great Wall of China stretches for over 13,170 miles, and it contains multiple walls, most of which are parallel to each other and some parts of them have crumpled. The Great Wall of China is located on the Northern border of China, and took over 2,000 years to build. The entire wall was finished about 2,300 years ago, and is consisting of bricks, stones, and sil.
