The Great Wall was one of the beautiful man made wonders of Ancient China. It was made out of dirt over a span of a 2,000-year period by the Qin dynasty and the Han dynasty. Though building something of such size and greatness was quite the challenge. There were many hardships involved with the wall, though there were benefits because of the wall as well, such as protection against the Xiongnu Mongols. The costs of the Great Wall of Ancient China outweighed the benefits because of the money expenses, the use of citizen’s lives, and the wall was inadequate.
