Franklin D Roosevelt's Speech Outline

The speech that I looked at was given by Franklin D Roosevelt on December 8th, 1941 to the Congress. The introduction statement says “Yesterday, December 7th, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.” (Roosevelt, 1941) This is a strong introduction as to what happened the day before, to lead Roosevelt in to asking Congress to agree to declare war on Japan. Nothing in the introduction actually tells us that Roosevelt wants to declare war on Japan in the introduction. The first main point that I would look at would be to give the audience some history on the Great Dane. The minor points that would fall under this category would be, why was the Great Dane Breed, How did they achieve their size, and personality? The second main point that we would look at is why there size makes them an effective therapy dog. Some minor points here would tell of the dog’s size. Give examples here why their size is helpful in being therapy dogs. Such examples could be that Great Danes are helping Parkinson patients and their walking. Another example that I could use during this would be how the size of the dog helps support a patient walk with Moquino Syndrome. The last main point would be dealing with the Great Danes personality. The examples that I could use in here would be that of helping a young boy through his anxiety of PTSD that was caused by his father. I can use two more examples of Great Danes being used with PTSD veteran patients that have changed there lives since getting a service
