Have you ever heard of the great pyramids of Giza? If not, they were built by the Nile River in egypt in 2550 B.C. to honor emperor Khufu. Since they were built a long time ago, the Egyptians obviously did not have all of the cranes, bulldozers, or even metal screwdrivers. That we have today. The Pyramids were just built with manpower and a few basic tools such as hammers. My second wonder is the Lighthouse of Alexandria. This magnificent lighthouse was built in 290-280 B.C. and opened to the public in 268 B.C.. Read on to find out how these structures were came about.

The pyramids can be admired and will be for years to come. But we can only look at drawings of what we suspected the lighthouse to look like. These are the best out of the “Seven Wonders”, and will stay the best forever. Even though they are old, does not mean they should be forgotten.
