The success of any company, organization or even country depends in many points on a leader. That is why it is fair to assume that the role of leader is very important and that is why fir many year people try to find the recipe of ideal leader and many studies have been devoted to understand the influence of leadership on organizational structure and performance. There are many of theories aimed to define and explore the leadership as a phenomenon which allows only a few to lead and inspire the most.
The most commonly used theories are:
• Behavioural Theories. Role Theory
• Contingency Theories
• Great Man Theory.
• Participative Leadership. Lewin 's leadership styles
• Situational Leadership. Hersey and Blanchard 's Situational Leadership

The Great Man Theory broadly discussed in 19th century. The idea applies to the importance of personality which has made the significant influence on history.
Commentator and historian Thomas Carlyle who lived in 19th century was the most active advocate of The Great Man Theory.
