Looking at his account book one would see that all of the earnings from 1928 are huge compared to the earnings from 1932. One example is the cream sales for the year, in 1928 a year’s profit was $105.90 and in 1932 it was $6.45. As you can see the profits dropped over 90%. The effect that this had on the individual probably made them depressed and anxious about life itself. They had to worry about how they were going to eat sometimes because of the little amount that they made.
