Daisy is Nick's cousin and Jay's long lost love yet, she did not know that he lived right across the bay from her. A few things will be under review and it is, did the movie stay true to the era, the greed that humans have for one another, and did the message that movie gave relate to the message Fitzgerald wanted us to take away from the story. Jay Gatsby played by Leonardo Dicaprio was a very wealthy with many skeletons in his closet, and all he wanted to do was to win Daisy's heart.The most important character/narrator in the movie was "Old Sport" Nick Caraway. 1992 was well known for their clubs, cigars, and bootleggers. They would show up at his parties drink his wine, laugh and smile in his face, but what they really wanted to ask was "how did he get to where he is at"? When Gatsby was killed Nick was devastated he called Daisy for days and none of the house keeping would pass on the message that the man who would have given up all his money for her was shot by her husbands mistress's husband. As much as Nick tried to keep the mansion up, he just couldn't when Gatsby's funeral was held the only people who arrived was paparazzi who all wanted to get a photo of Gatsby in his coffin and that was where Nick realized that all the money in the world would not solve the problems anyone could
