The great Gatsby is a movie overwhelmed with emotions such as jealousy, hatred, attraction, and most importantly, love. In this movie, a bond-seller, Nick Carraway is writing a journal, is fighting with depression and alcoholism caused by the sequence of events he lived with a mysterious man name, Jay Gatsby. Nick’s Doctor listens to him re-encountering the story which led him to his current situation. Nick’s story explains that seven years ago, he moved into a tiny house on Long Island, and had the wealthy, sumptuous, and mysterious Jay Gatsby as a neighbour. Gatsby sent an invitation to Nick, however Nick had no idea Gatsby’s real intentions for this invitation is love. Love Gatsby has for Nick’s cousin, Daisy, who is married to Tom Buchanan.

However, he didn 't’t know that man was Tom Buchanan, which gave Tom an opened opportunity to act and convince Mr. Wilson that Gatsby is his wife’s murderer. Power, wealth, and control gave Tom Buchanan the opportunity to lay out pure lies in Mr. Wilson’s face and gave him the ability to make Mr. Wilson believe his words. Mr. Buchanan’s goal was to keep his name and status clean from accusations such as betrayal and cheating, because being a cheater and a betrayer does not represent a man of his status. The worst is that Mr. Wilson was emotionally, socially, and economically broken down, so his mind was set to be dominated and to believe anything that has a little bit of sense to him. Love, sorrow, hurt, pain, poverty, pushed George Wilson to the edge. He murdered an innocent man, Jay Gatsby, and killed himself. George Wilson gave up on life.
