The book “ The Great Gatsby” ,written by F. Scott Fitzgerald has sparked the worlds interest and has become one of the best-selling books of all time! We were given the chance to interview him and ask him a few questions:
Interviewer: Hello F. Scott Fitzgerald, It’s an honor meeting you. So, some fans would love it if you could answer some questions about yourself, would that be alright?
F. Scott Fitzgerald: Yes of course! Ask away.
Interviewer: Great! First, could you give us a short backround about your life as a child?
F. Scott Fitzgerald: Well, I born on September 24,1896 in St. Paul Minnesota. My parents are Edward Fitzgerald & Mary McQuillan. My father used to own a wicker furniture business in my hometown. Since the business wasn’t doing too well, my father became a

F.Scott Fitzgerald: Oh no ma’am, I love my parents! But I also love writing .
Interviewer: When did you start writing ?
F. Scott Fitzgerald: During my time attending St. Paul Academy, I published a detective story in the school newspaper when I was about 13.When I went to a preparatory school in New Jersey, I met Father Sigourney Fay and he told me that I should pursue in literature, so I did.
Interviewer: Hmm… ,and how did you “pursue” in literature?
F. Scott Fitzgerald: After graduating preparatory school, I studied at Princeton University. I wrote scripts, articles, and stories ,dedicating myself to improving my craft. But after I was placed on academic probation, I dropped out of school and joined the Army.
Interviewer: Had joining the army change your life as a person and writer?
F.Scott Fitzgerald:I thought that since I might during WWI, I wrote the novel “The Romantic Egotist”but it got rejected. But, I was able to meet my beautiful wife, Zelda Sayre. So we got married after publishing “This Side of Paradise”.
