On the front of my Gatsby T-shirt I have an old white car because Gatsby has one. This would bring Daisy to tears because back when Gatsby and Daisy were together, they were caught sitting in a car giving intimate looks to each other. I believe this would make Daisy cry because it would remind her of old times and revitalize her affection for Gatsby. I also have fireworks because they symbolize the celebration Gatsby had every weekend at his mansion. He throws parties for everyone hoping one day Daisy might walk in. The party hat on Gatsby’s head also symbolizes the parties he throws, which makes him look like a party animal. He serves large glasses of wine which may display his large pool of wealth, also inviting Daisy to return to her former love.Gatsby’s head represents the one and only, Gatsby. He is drawn the way he is to represent his very analytical and suspicious personality, as he often takes a moment or two here and there to observe his surroundings. Daisy might just cry for him anytime. As the chest pocket I added a green and blue sign with eyes because it represents Dr. T.J. Eckleburg and his sign above the Valley of Ashes. As his nose and mouth I added a tilted “Dr” to clarify the drawing represents Eckleburg. Out of the chest pocket sticks a picture which contains a picture of Daisy her name written in cursive. This is because Gatsby never really forgot about Daisy, he kept her near him at all times, and hopes to someday see her again. The picture of Daisy would make her cry because like in the book when Gatsby shows her his collection of her in the newspaper, if he shows her the picture she can be sure he never let go. In the bottom right corner of the shirt i have a pile of 1 million dollar bills in a stack because it represents Gatsby’s wealth, even in today’s money. Last but not least, I have lines and circles along the middle and top of the shirt which employ a very fancy style to
