Troubled Pages
In a sky of gloom, stood an immense mansion that had been bestowed within a psychotic nightmare. Trees roamed around the untamed fields like the living dead. All was going well in this home, until a shriek of despair was heard in the main foyer. A young girl runs down the staircase to find her mother impaled on the carpet. The corpse was already greeted by her brother before she got there. They cry out her name, hoping to get a response, but the foyer stayed silent. Shivers were sent down their spines and their hearts pounded quickly. The butler walks into the scene to only find tears gushing down their faces over their beloved parent. He embraced the children like an eagle spreading his wings.
Beside the mother’s corpse lay a peculiar book. The book was ornate and had a dark maroon cover. The young girl carefully grasps the book and shows the butler the book. He thanks the girl and takes the book into his room; guiding the children to their rooms.
The butler settles down on his bed and starts to read the book. For some strange reason, there was only one word on every page of the book. He was extremely perplexed.

They danced across the room with robust movement. Sparks flew across the ceiling like fireworks. They then leaped onto the table; standing with absolute silence. Awaiting a cue to draw their guns, they stood like sturdy trees on a windy day. A light zephyr passes by. They both lance out quickly, desiring to deal the final blow. But at the corner of the butler’s eye, he sees the boy sprint up behind him and stabs him in the back, dragging the blade down with him. Blood ruptured out of his body and painted the canvas-like walls. The butler was brought to a stop. He crashed onto the floor, only to look up to see the boy and girl walk away. He took his final
