Reverend Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, best known as Scott Fitzgerald, has written many short stories, novels, and even a couple poems throughout his lifetime but he is most famous for his novel, “The Great Gatsby”. This very dramatic and shocking book is filled with a ton symbolism and hidden messages relating to his life. He uses many different characters who project real people in his life. Fitzgerald’s projects his life through James Gatz, formally known as Jay Gatsby, in many different ways.

After this was published in 1920 Fitzgerald became very wealthy. Zelda finally said yes to Fitzgerald proposal and they exchanged wedding vows at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral on April 3, 1920. Fitzgerald started becoming a more and more popular author, he started writing more novels. He begin to write a novel that became the most famous novel he had ever written in 1922 called: “The Great Gatsby”. This famous novel was based on Fitzgerald’s life and the obstacles he had overcame, but there was a slight twist to make the book more dramatic. “The Great Gatsby” was written in a third person point of view and was narrated by Nick Carraway, Gatsby neighbor. Fitzgerald was an average guy who got lucky and became rich by his talent in writing, while Gatsby did whatever it took to become rich. Gatsby never gets married due to the fact that he was so obsessed over Daisy he didn’t want anyone else. While, Fitzgerald dated other women and even got engaged to another women before Zelda. Zelda and Fitzgerald had a rough marriage, but they stuck together and had kids. Gatsby was not liked because of his wealth and people blamed him for stuff he didn’t even do. People blamed him so much he was shot and killed in his own pool by a jealous man who claimed Gatsby killed his wife. Yet, Fitzgerald was rebellious but smart, he knew how to make people happy.
