“Who was guy, and who was men in the novel “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald?” was the question that most of people wanted to know. And “how could we identifying men and guys?” was also a hot topic too. To find the answer for the second question, we first had to look at the article “Guys vs Men” by Dave Barry. In this article, Barry gave out his point of views and examples on how he thought guy characteristics were. Guy characteristics such as guy like neat stuff; guy do not have a rigid and well-defined moral code… were well explained by supporting evidences on each rule, and how it applied to people. Scott Fitzgerald, father of the book “The Great Gatsby”. Fitzgerald, when he was still a child, his father teached him how to act and dress like a men. He discovered his talent on writing, and used it to builded the foundation for the life that he wanted. He wanted to be a rich and popular writer. First he worked hard everyday to gained his social acceptance from the upper level class people, because he was poor. He seemed to never did thing unnecessary and unhelpful for his dream until he dropped out from college, and careless about his career when he became successful writer. He used his talent to support himself to went to a famous university, but when he got his pass to attended to the school, he started to drunk and had fun. Then he ended up by dropped out of school because he fail so many class. But in contrary to it, he did not wasted any single event that happened in his life. What he gained in his life was all used as the experience and a base story for his
