When people come into the U.S. from foreign countries to find a better life, they usually look at the education system for all ages. In some cases in the U.S., “An undocumented student is a student foreign national …who entered the United States legally as a nonimmigrant but violated the terms of his or her visa status and remained in the United States without authorization” (Kim 55). Again, racism is in the mix, but not as much. Typically when people move to the U.S., they move for their future children’s lives and maybe even their own lives. In almost every state in the U.S. has a law in the education system that states, “undocumented students ' residency status is solely determined by their parents ' immigration status” (Kim 55).
