Fitzgerald represented himself in the novel through Jay Gatsby. In the novel, Jay Gatsby meets Daisy when he is in the army, and he goes toDaisy’s house with another officer from Camp Taylor. He sees Daisy and he falls in love with her (Fitzgerald 148). It happened the same in Fitzgerald’s life, he also went to a Camp and Fitzgerald met Zelda and he fell in love with her (“F (rancis)”).
