F. Scott Fitzgerald was born in 1896. He started to pursue his writing career when he dropped out of Princeton in 1917. A lot of his books are inspired by his own life, and most of them include the 1920’s and the extravagant lifestyle the rich lived during that time. Some of his most famous works are The Great Gatsby, This Side of Paradise, and Tender is the Night. While he did not win any awards for his books when he was still alive, he is now considered one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.
