“Depression creeps up from the ground like a crawling vine, and it snakes around your entire body. You always knew it was there nagging at you, but you only realized the danger you were in when its grip became suffocating and it began pulling you under.”

“Now is your time to decide. You can let it drag you under, or you can speak out and fight it with all your might.”

Depression, one of the greatest challenges that one can face. Few people can triumph over this feeling, and come through strong.

Depression is a feeling of numbness, moreover emptiness. Depression moves in as a feeling of self-doubt along with worthlessness. It feeds off of our negative thoughts as well as our emotions. Depression can be put out on the spot if dealt with right away, but the longer it stays the faster it will fester the mind.

You may ask yourself “Why would my mind, make me feel this way?” The answer may not be what you were hoping for, but none the less, it is simple. You are feeling depression right now because you have allowed yourself to feel this way. You have allowed this creeping vine to make a home inside of you, and though you believe you did not choose to feel this way, you made a choice. Regardless of whether it was sub-conscience or not, there was a moment when a thought of self-doubt entered your mind, and instead of kicking it right back out, you allowed it to stay, consequently, a train of other negative thoughts
