The Great Depression-Personal Narrative

*Cough *cough *cough”, as mom and I are breathing in the dust inside of our Farmhouse that is blowing around inside and outside, making the skies look very black. Then the thought of where, and how dad is, came to mind. We had nothing to contact him with, Then all of the sudden there was a loud knock at the front door. While we answered the door there we saw a letter that read, Dear Mrs. and Mr. Jaco, we would like to let you know that you didn’t pay your last mortgage for your farmhouse, therefore we will be here early in the morning to come take your house down we ask you to please start getting all of your things together. Sincerely, Mr.Bob by this point I didn't think anything else could go wrong, but i guess that theory was incorrect. There was another knock at the door I had a little hope that it was my dad getting back from his work conference out west, but when we opened the door it was the exact opposite of who i thought it was, it was a police officer ruining that little hope I had and broke the news to us that dad didn't make it. “What seems to be the problem?” he asked. So I told him how we lost are house and how we were trying to find somewhere to stay but then I lost my mom. He replied, “Here follow me, I can take you and your mom back to my house, and I will do my best to help your mom.” So I followed him until we got to a huge white and brown brick house with a play set in the backyard.
