The Great Depression In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men

In his novel, "Mice and Men." published in the year 1937 issued to millions of people; It showed an intriguing time line of The Great Depression which occurred from 1929 – to – 1933. It was the longest and most sever crisis ever experienced by the industrialised western world. The book is authored by Steinbeck and what he does it that he expressed the lifestyle of both gender accurately. He does this by using two of his main character which is called Lennie and George. They both migrated in different parts of America to look for work, as did many citizens. Now statistically speaking, at least 13-million. The work presented were low class job something at that time the Negro’s would do. We should state that this has been expressed throughout the novel, for example, when she said she “coulda been in the movies.” She was waiting for a letter basically promising her a career in Hollywood. But of course, that never arrived. Foolishly, Curley’s wife believed that her over-protective aunt stole the letter. As a result, it lead to the leaving of Curley’s wife home. Her aunty in her eyes was basically a barrier and that she believed she had to leave in order to pursue her long life aspiration. However, in leaving she met Curley, whose same anger liker her related together like how to jigsaw go together. Now due to this it lead her to build an untrue identity, which covered her true identity. Due to this she is presented as an actual angry women, whose seductive clothing and flirtatious gesture draw in the attention she so much desires but of course never used to receive; however further analysis show she is so much more
